Tempting travellers to.. Parador Routes to Camino de Santiago

Where in the world is Camino de Santiago?
The route preserved as a UNESCO heritage site traverses the border of Northern Spain and covers some of the most beautiful and spiritual scenery in the World!

 

Parador de Limpias
Day one of the Parador themed itinerary starts in Limpias tempting travellers to explore the villages surrounding the converted palace or relaxing on the grounds.

Day two explores Parador del Santillana del Mar tempting travellers to enjoy this well-preserved small medieval town with cobbled streets only open to pedestrians.

You won’t see any cars, making your visit very special indeed. This historic district has preserved its original character for hundreds of years.

Day three tempts travellers to the Parador de Gijón which occupies an old mill in Isabel la Católica Park, one of the most beautiful areas of this city facing the sea, which offers beaches, culture, excellent cuisine and gorgeous green spaces.

Day four tempts travellers to Parador de Ribadeo overlooking the Eo River in a lovely seaside tourist town, surrounded by greenery and gazing out to sea. The magnificent location near the border between Galicia and Asturias offers unparalleled views of the Galician countryside, the Ria of Ribadeo, and the Asturian villages on the opposite shore, offering a splendid panoramic view from the dining room.

Don’t miss the chance to sample the exquisite traditional Galician cuisine, which features dishes, as well as Galician wines.

For days five and six,  Parador Ferrol was built to look out to sea, protecting itself from the invasions it faced.

Finally on day seven the Parador de Santiago, known as the Hostal dos Reis Católicos, is a blend of history, art and tradition, the dream of pilgrims and emblem of Santiago continues to tempt travellers to enjoy a city that is as universal as it is fascinating. Inside this Parador Museum, considered the oldest hotel in the world, you will discover four beautiful cloisters, elegant rooms and spectacular guest rooms.
