The Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is considered the second most popular and internationally known carnival , after those held in Rio de Janeiro ( Brazil ). In fact the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is twinned with the city of Rio de Janeiro for this reason.

The museum is located in a building of 1,100 square meters with large terraces, located on the right bank of the Barranco de Santos and just below the emblematic Galceran Bridge. The museum also contains a cafeteria and a documentation center with digitized files on all kinds of objects related to the carnival and its history.
The museum has two exhibition areas; one for temporary exhibitions and also used as an assembly hall, and another for permanent exhibitions in which the costumes of the queen of the carnival of each year stand out. It also contains the original posters of the carnival, thematic videos of the history of the party, touch screens and virtual reality glasses.
In addition, the museum also has workshops for costumes, makeup, masks and wigs. La Casa del Carnaval organizes guided tours and next to the enclosure there is a stop for the tourist bus of Santa Cruz. It also has a gift and merchandising store with souvenirs inspired by the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Without a doubt the visit to the Casa del Carnaval will be a unique experience, thanks to the different digital applications that allow the visitor to feel and experience the party from within, including the amazing costumes.
