Peace of Mind Events at Hilton Penn’s Landing

As a meeting and event professional, I, along with others, wonder when we can get back to having face-to-face events worry-free.  How can we assure our organizations and our attendees safety in this Covid world?  What protocols can or will be followed?  With many still concerned over fears of Covid and other transmittable diseases in the world we live in today, Hilton is addressing this with new protocols and tools for the event planner.    This is exciting as so many planners and their organizations are ready to get back to meetings, especially face-to-face.

First, Hilton introduced its CleanStay program for guest rooms and now is rolling out a new program called EventReady that has strict safety and cleanliness protocols in addition to helpful tools and guidance for the event planner.  Hilton’s EventReady program is to ensure both the planners and the attendees have a positive experience and feel safe.  Numerous hotels are participating in this program including the Hilton Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia.    The hotel, along with many other hotels in the Hilton brand portfolio are beginning to roll out this exciting new global program that addresses cleanliness and sanitation protocols for events.

Hilton Penn’s Landing hotel, set on Philadelphia’s waterfront, peaks out at the Delaware River with incredible views of New Jersey across the water.  The hotel is conveniently located, less than a mile from the Liberty Bell, the Museum of the American Revolution, and the Benjamin Franklin museum.














As meetings and events are changing in how they are conducted and, in their look, Hilton addresses this with their EventReady with CleanStay program.  This expands on their existing CleanStay program with elevated sanitation standards especially for events.  They are also offering a EventReady Hybrid Solution.

The goal is to create safety and comfortability in an event or meeting environment.  Hilton’s Commitment is as follows:

“Partnering with customers to deliver an elevated standard for events across the attendee journey.  CleanStay Standards, Flexible, Safe and Socially Responsible.”

The features of the program include a cleaning checklist for meeting rooms and event space with areas and items of high touch being thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.  Each meeting room will be inspected, and a Hilton CleanStay Event Room Seal applied to the space.  Sanitization stations will be throughout the hotel and maintained regularly to ensure a high level of cleanliness.


Each hotel staff member will work with event planners on ensuring their vendors comply with these standards and adhere to room set protocols and will also approve floor plans prior to the event.

Also, another helpful addition to this program is the Hilton EventReady Playbook which provides plug and play solutions, guidance and resources for the planners including creative sets including physical distancing standards, transportation, hybrid meetings and technology.  Hilton meeting staff also is versed in providing planners with creative menus that adhere to physical distancing regulations and sanitation requirements.  The focus is on single serve items and individual portions, yet still providing quick and efficient service.

Prior to the event, Hilton staff members can assist with registration, housing verbiage and pre-arrival messaging to ensure attendees feel safe and ready to attend the event.  Check-in and check-out can be contactless with digital check in and keys.  Guest rooms are deep cleaned, and disinfectant is used for high touch items.

Meetings and events are continuing to evolve as the world strives to reach herd immunity from Covid 19.  Hilton is prepared with this new program for full on-site meetings but also for hybrid events combining virtual with in-person meetings.  Many hotels, like the Hilton Penn’s Landing, are also increasing their bandwidth and technology to address this.  Hybrid meetings will not go away anytime soon.

The Hilton Penn’s Landing is great for small to medium sized meetings with 23,837 square feet of space with 19 meeting rooms and 350 guest rooms.  Hilton is committed to assisting planners with meeting objectives while maintaining health and environmental concerns to the organization and attendees.  Their goal is to provide a safe environment for both the planner and the attendee.
