Faneuil Hall Marketplace has been the home to history making events since it was founded in 1742.  This is where Samuel Adams rallied citizens to independence from Great Britain, and Colonists gathered for political rallies, events and celebrations.Today, it remains the heart of Boston and a central meeting place for groups and visitors from around the world.

 Meeting Venues
Faneuil Hall Marketplace has a variety of onsite meeting and event space available to host conferences, weddings and charity events. Groups can request the use of the Faneuil Hall Marketplace by contacting the Faneuil Hall Marketplace Events and Marketing Department.

Additional meeting space is available through private restaurants and vendors, including:

  • Old South Meeting House is the site where the Boston Tea Party began, serving as a museum, National Historic Landmark, and center for free expression since 1729.  Available for evening rental, the Old South Meeting House can hold up to 650 people.
  • Cheers!  A re-creation of the set from the popular television show by the same name.  Cheers offers a bar, outdoor patio and café that can accommodate groups of up to 100.
  • Anthem offers a cozy main restaurant, outdoor patio and private upstairs space that can accommodate up to 275
  • Ed Devine’s Irish Pub offers dinning, live entertainment, private indoor event space and an outdoor patio that can host up to 70.

Old South Meeting House

Located just three miles from Logan International Airport, and adjacent to Boston’s Downtown Financial District, the Faneuil Hall Marketplace area offers limitless hotel options.  From historic landmark buildings to modern luxury, there is something for every taste and budget.

With over 18 restaurants, 35 Colonnade eateries and 44 pushcarts, Faneuil Hall offers a multitude of options to choose from.  A food voucher program, which allows attendees to make their own dinning choices from select vendors, is also available.

The North and South Market buildings are where visitors will find most of the shopping outlets.  Here guests will find upscale shopping, national chain stores, Boston souvenir shops and carts featuring crafts from local artisans.  With over 100 stores and unique pushcart vendors, Faneuil Hall Marketplace offers something for everyone.

Quincy Hall

Entertainment abounds at Faneuil Hall Marketplace.  Here guests will find cobblestone promenades filled with live musicians, street performers, magicians and historical tours and reenactments that take place daily.

Popular tours and entertainment include:

  • A free one hour walking tour of the Quincy Market (available seasonally)
  • Boston Massacre historic tour offered by The Old State House.  Group tours can also be arranged.
  • BLINK!  A world-famous light and sound show that runs between November and January

Parking & Transportation
The Faneuil Hall Marketplace is easily accessible by public transportation.  Discounted parking is available nearby and tour bus parking is located within short walking distance.
